SECTION 1:
Gauguin's colour palette is particularly lovely, with subtle creams, stains and muted earthly tones - a very useful source of inspiration for when I come to choosing my colour palette for my final outcome. I am also drawn to his mark making and use of nib pen - the quality of line is unique and economical in the way they efficiently imply form and structure. I am also extremely inspired by his woodcuts and if I had more time on this project I would have definitely enjoyed experimenting with this print medium - the grain and luminosity on his woodcut prints are sensational.

This work has been so incredibly inspirational and useful for the development of my work. The unique, sensational and electrifying quality of drawing and design skill on display is just supreme. The pairing of drawing and text is just stunning.
